Keywords That Sell

This is 3rd SEO Tutorial provided by Affordable SEO Services

Does your site have high search results, great ads placement, but very low conversion rate?

Do you get one ad click per 500+ visitors even with perfect ad placement? If so, then you are targeting keywords that do not sell.

HERE IS A FREE TOOL TO HELP YOU FIND KEYWORDS THAT SELL:

http://adlab.microsoft.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/

You will see a search bar in the middle somewhere. Make sure you click on the one that says Query instead of Webpage.

I will use an example here: Muscle Building Supplements

As of today, the tool shows that this keyword has 0.61 Commercial Intention. Anything above 0.50 Commercial Intention is pretty good. These are keywords that have higher chance of buying something, or clicking ads.

Now, let's try typing in Best Muscle Building Supplements.

Nice! As of today, this keyword shows up as 0.80 Commercial Intention. This is a hot keyword that people will most likely make a purchase or click on ads.

How about a keyword that has low click-through rate or sales? Let's look at the keyword Supplements.

With this keyword, it is showing as 0.78 Non-Commercial Intention. This means that people are most likely just looking up information on supplements. Perhaps, they are looking to do a research for school project for example. Although "supplements" has a very high search rate, that keyword is not a keyword that has low conversion rate.

This is just a rough estimate of the keyword. Do not count on it 100%. When you have a high search volume for a particular keyword, but lacking in conversion rate, take a look at that free tool above.

BEFORE YOU BUILD A SITE:

I highly recommend you use that tool before you decide to build a niche site around a keyword. Supplement this tool with your keyword research.

This will save you a ton of headache. Imagine taking several months to rank your site to #1 on Google just to find out that not many people are buying anything or clicking ads?

I rather have lower search volume with higher conversion rate than billions of search per month but with only 100 that converted.
